Jam
Place Dalmatia® Fig Spread with Orange into a small bowl and add Fig or Orange Liquor.
Stir to combine.
Note: Rum or Brandy may be substituted if Fig or Orange
Liquor is not available.
Butter
- 2 Sticks Butter
- 2/3 Cup Sugar
- 1 Large Egg Yokes (one by one)
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 Tablespoon Finely Grated Orange Zest
- 1 Tablespoon Fresh Lemon Juice
In a large bowl use a low speed mixer to beat the ingredients until the mixture
is light and creamy.
Flour
- 2 ¼ Cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
- ¼ Teaspoon of Salt
In the medium bowl combine and sift:
Preparation Preheat the oven to 350°F. Take sifted flour and put it into
a big bowl (in two additions). Beat it with the low speed mixer until moist clamps
form. Gather the dough together into a ball. Pinch off the dough to form 1-inch
balls. Place on the prepared baking sheets, spacing one inch apart. Use your floured
index finger to create depressions in the center of each ball. Fill each indentation
with nearly ½ teaspoon of the jam mixture. Bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes

but Emeril said that you can do it with any fruit jam. We tried it with fig spread
and it was really good.
